found this really cheap asian place near my work.. $6 and they pile on food for u.. haha

choice of 3 toppings.. (i had mushroom and beef, chilli chicken and a prawn omelete :-))

it was way cool value!

and funny too when i was ordering.. :-P

FOR one hour on one autumn evening next year the lights of Sydney will go out.

The city's nocturnal skyline - the floodlit Opera House, the empty offices ablaze, an illuminated Harbour Bridge - will fade to black at 7.30pm on March 31. Instead, weather permitting, will be a display of stars not seen from the CBD in decades.

That is the ambitious plan launched by the environment group WWF Australia yesterday to send a message to Australians about climate change. It hopes its Earth Hour campaign will demonstrate the connection between the electricity people use in homes and offices and the climate change pollution that coal-fired power stations generate. With the support of Fairfax, publisher of the Herald, the City of Sydney, and the State Government, WWF will ask Sydney households and businesses to turn off their lights for 60 minutes. The city's electricity providers will measure the power saved and the greenhouse gas emissions avoided.

Public transport, street lighting and any lighting that provides security will not be affected.

Sarah Bishop, 22, of Brisbane, will arrive just before the lights go out on March 31 after a nine-week walk from her home city spreading her message to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

The chief executive officer of WWF Australia, Greg Bourne, said a darkened Sydney would be a powerful visual statement from Australia's largest city about coal-fired electricity. "Sydney is renowned for being a can-do city, which is why we think Sydney is the best city to lead the way," said Mr Bourne, who hopes to eventually take the campaign global. "It is possible to defeat climate change, but we need to act with a sense of urgency."

The broader Earth Hour campaign aims to cut Sydney's greenhouse gas emissions by 5 per cent by March 31, 2008, or the equivalent of taking 75,000 medium-sized cars off the road for a year. WWF chose 5 per cent as a target because it believed it was easily achievable.

For example, in the home, switching electrical appliances off at the power point would cut electricity demand by up to 11 per cent, the Federal Government's National Appliance and Equipment Energy Efficiency Committee says.

WWF estimates that turning off lights when buildings are not occupied and installing energy-efficient lighting could slash the electricity used to light office blocks by as much as 80 per cent.

Ms Bishop hopes to start people talking about climate change through her walk. "I am 22 years old. These statistics [about climate change] represent my future," the Griffith University student said.

She said many of the things people took for granted, including the environment, were at risk from rising global temperatures and wilder weather.

"I won't be able to take my children to see the Great Barrier Reef … this is not the great Australian dream I was brought up to believe in," she said.

Along her journey, Ms Bishop wants to spread the message that small steps taken by a large number of people will help cut the greenhouse gas emissions polluting the world's atmosphere.

The Lord Mayor of Sydney, Clover Moore, urged businesses, workers and residents to support Earth Hour.

"I believe this project is a big step on the way to cutting Sydney's carbon dioxide pollution," Cr Moore said yesterday.

"If Australia's commercial business sector simply turned lights off when buildings were not in use we could save between 2 and 4 million tonnes in greenhouse gas emissions."

An initiative begun last year by City of Sydney, North Sydney and Parramatta City councils and the Department of Energy, Utilities and Sustainability encourages commercial offices to increase their energy efficiency.

It estimated that if all the offices in those business districts improved their Australian Building Greenhouse Rating by one star it would save $21 million in energy costs and cut more than 189,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions every year.

The Premier, Morris Iemma, said everyone had a vital interest in tackling climate change.

"It [the campaign] gives everyone a chance to make a statement that they care about climate change and want action."

sooo had a random night last night.. random dinner ($6 steaks!!!) wif couple friends :-)

stopped off at one of their works (at a vet clinic) and was able to have a look at all the animals and stuff out the back..

some of the cats there were sooooo cute :-)

heheeh there was one that was full ugly though.. like that white bad boss cat from the movie 'cats and dogs'... didn't wanna take a picture of it.. (might have broken my phone.. lol)

neways.. i did however snap a shot of 3 kittens that are strays :-D

i just wanted to pick all of them up and hug them... kekekeke :-D
(but chose not to, cos going to dinner haha :-))

the one on the right was the best!!!.. had a pink nose which was really cute and i stuck my finger inside the cage and it start to sniff it and then.. (awwww) it moved one of its paw's up and put it on my finger hehehe :-D

so couple days ago i was waiting at the bus stop (for a bus :-P) and one of the students came up and was waiting too, started talking to me about my hair..

we realised that over the course of this year, i've had 3 hair styles... thats quite a lot considering i just had the 1 hair style for nearly 4 years.. lol

the hair styles have been, the completely 'shaved' look (shaved to a number 2), that i have been doing for the few years.. then i grew it a lil bit (on request of a certain someone :-P) and it went kinda 'fluffy'.. and now this look, which is kinda in between..

what to call this new look we pondered... and then it became clear, to mix the names!! (as u do)...

and 'Flaved' was born!!.. flaved kinda sounded better than 'Suffy'.... but either works..

well... i got a haircut.. i haven't been to a hairdresser in about 4 years.. lol i had no idea wot i wanted.. all i knew was i wanted my sides and back cut.. coz it was getting annoying.. i dunno how some ppl have their hair hanging over their ears.. it's soooo annoying!!

so anyway.. pretty much.. i think the cut is a standard one.. just normal.. not as extreme (if u want to call it extreme) as my shaved head.. and not as fluffy as my 'i haven't cut or styled my hair in nearly 4 months' look.

i'm not entirely sure i like the haircut.. most ppl have laughed at me.. (thanks guys!) and people have said i look more 'sensible' whatever that means... got a couple of 'i look more cute' comments... which is not really wot i wanna be... what kind of guy wants to look cute??!?!? (though cute comments most welcome from a certain someone :-P)

i guess i have to play around with how to style it with gel/wax or something.. coz i only put in a bit just to keep it not as fluffy :-P

might look better as it grows a bit more... hehe oh well...

i don't think i'll post any pics of my hair.. bit shy :-P

hmm..

i'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with life at the moment..

so much stuff to think about, work, church, family, friendships (not in any particular order).... constantly thinking.. need to stop thinking so much.... and then gradually through all this thinking stress builds up... when you think u got one thing thought through, something else pops up that you think through.. lol its never ending...

what happens when you stop thinking so much??? does that mean you start not to care as much on the areas? argh!!!.. i dunno... see i'm thinking too much now..

well.. for an indefinite time...

i figure i use msn a bit too much.. and its become an unhealthy habit...

i open my laptop up and the first program to get started is msn messenger
i get home from work or wake up on the weekends and i turn on my pc and msn messenger loads

all it does is just sit there, and i talk to a handful of people... but i find myself constantly checking on it.. seeing who's online etc... which becomes a distraction...

sooo i've decided to uninstall msn from my laptop, and desktop computers... i may use it if i'm not at home or at work (ie. if i'm at a friends house) but i want to break the habit of just having it always open and sitting there...

so if you are one of my fan's who regularly talk to me :-P
just send me an email, sms me, call me.. etc :-)

hmmm apparently (according to parentals) there has been a duck living in our backyard for the last few days..

and it seems pretty friendly.. eats bread out of your hand and stuff.. also eats cat food?? what?

on a side note.. my cat is stupid (u'd think it would chase the duck.. nooo it walks right past it and allows the duck to eat his food... stupid cat)

Superman Returns

just came back from seeing this... i'll say it straight out.. i thought it was average...

no i didn't have high expectations.. lol as soon as i heard kate bosworth was playing lois... expectations dropped hahaha...

what made it average for me was the storyline.. it didn't feel too concrete to me.. and tended to chop around everywhere... not to mention a slow beginning...

i really like movies that can carry a good story... and make it feel satisfying at the end when i leave... it just didn't do that for me..

now.. the movie wasn't a complete failure.. just the story got to me..

brandon routh as clark kent/superman was awesome.. he compeletly took the role and extended it from christopher reeve... it was like looking at a reeve's brother or something..
kate bosworth.. suprisingly wasn't that bad as lois... she looked a bit.. timid at times compared to a firey reporter that lois is.. but it was passable..
and not to mention keven spacey as expected was brilliant as lex

the music was also great.. i loved how they kept the original theme for superman and the whole retro look to the opening credits
the action!!!... finally a superman movie which can truly show how a super being can move and fight and save things.. brilliant cg stuff and good camera angles which was expected from bryan singer..
and finally i'm glad they put a 'dedicated in loving memory' thing to the reeves at the end..

overall... 7/10 (would have been an easy 9 with a more solid story)

went wif a friend to check out this coffee place in newtown. 'Campos'. SOOOO NICE!!! the aroma when you walk into the place!!! the coffee itself.. its one of those times where you take the first swig and u feel like collapsing in a heap on the floor...!!!! i had a cap and a latte.. :-)

recommend going there if you like your Coffee

then proceeded to travel into the city. stopped at market city first.. giving opinions on jeans.. lol always fun.. haha (if you read this.. no i wasn't bored :-P and yes you will find them :-)) then moved onward towards the centre of the city where we did some more browsing and ended up at dirt cheap cd's and jb hifi... i bought creed - human clay (WHICH I'VE WANTED SINCE HIGHSCHOOL!@#)@#&$) has my fav song of all time on it.. 'higher') and 4 albums from crowded house!!!! wooooooohoooooo (v. cheap too $30 for all 4 albums)

whaaa so much to listen to now.. and can't wait to go back to campos :-)

Wisdom Teeth: AGAIN!?!??!!?

well.. no not really.. they haven't grown back.. but the saga is i think finally at an end... let me tell u wot happened..

yesterday during morning tea after eating my butter with raisin toast (yes butter with raisin toast) and downing my huge mug of coffee.. i used my tongue to go around my teeth checking for food particles (as u do..) neways as i got to my left hand side bottom last molar (one before where the wisdom teeth were) i felt something rough and hard... so i was like whats that thing? maybe some food stuck there.. i tried with vigorous rinsing of water to get it out but it wouldn't budge...

i ended up checking on the net that wot it might be is a small fragment of the wisdom tooth that may have been left there and the gum just extracts the piece as it heals.. no biggie..

so i got home and after dinner i had a better look.. armed with my trusty mirror and desk lamp i went to work... yep sure enough it looked like a small tooth fragment... prolly no more than the size of the tip of a pencil.. all good... i need more supplies.. so i went downstairs and carefully chose my extraction tool.. BOB!!! or what normal people call it.. a 'toothpick'... but for the duration of this post, we'll call him bob :-)

back up stairs now i went to work.. carefully i moved bob into place, ready to flick the small tooth fragment away from the gum.. *flick* no budge.. what the?!?!? i try again, this time.. using bob, not a flick but a careful scraping method, carefully latching onto the small white tooth fragment and pulling upwards, bob managed to uncover something amazing!.. to my suprise it was the start of a very LARGE tooth fragment.. frantically i kept digging and eventually this HUGE white hard thing came out.. *panic* in the mean time bob is screaming and eventually fainted at the sight of this monstrosity.. (toothpicks.. they dont make me like they used to..) now there was this hole in my gum where this huge thing lived and some blood seeping out.. !!!

this was crazy i thought.. wot the hell?? it didnt' look like a tooth fragment at all.. teeth a somewhat smoooth.. this was all riged and rough.. white like tooth though.. i had no idea... luckily that night i had bible study and one of the people there's sis is a dentist.. so i asked her what it could be.. she basically told me as the jaw heals it could break off little pieces of bone and it ended up congregating in that one spot and my gum decided to push it out now.. !!!!!!!!!!! JAW BONE PIECES!!!!! *gasp* by this time i should mention the bleeding had stopped and the hole started to cover over as the gum caved in on itself...

well to cut the story short.. i think after this incident.. the wisdom teeth saga is finally finished.. the gum is healing now and i can't even see a hole today... finally.. after 4 months nearly.. it is finally over... and as i always say.. "like sands through the hour glass, these are the days of our lives......... "

actually i dont' say that.. it just sounded cool to put in there..

thanks so much Casey for letting me borrow this movie.. if you dont' know what it is.. its one of the latest jackie chan movie out... i was a little skeptical about this movie.. coz jackie chan's movies are usually good for the martial arts and his comedic slapstick... this one seemed more of a serious movie.. but wow!!! i really really liked this movie!!!

good music too.. there is a song on the sound track where Jackie Chan and his Korean co-star Kim Hee Seon sing a duet.. haha its actually quite good!!! Jackie sings in chinese and Kim in Korean.... cool aye!?!?

i first heard this song at K a few weeks back and wasn't too impressed.. but it fits into the movie nicely... now i can't stop playing it!!! hahaha

finally!!!.. its been nearly 5 years since i got my 19" crt.. it had a good life.. but nowadays with normal refresh rates the whole screen shakes and all edges/corners were blurry :-|

so decided i'd save for a 19" lcd

picked it up today and its pretty good.. not used to the brightness of it though.. but the colour and sharpness so kill the crt hands down

hehe had a good day today.. not as busy as the last few... (11-12 hour days wot??!?!)

but something funny happened.. just before i left we were plugging in a switch to set up imaging for laptops and it blew up.. pity i wasn't fast enough to get my phone out.. back from HK.. in someways i'm glad to be back.. in others.. i wish i was still there.. or just away from here.. haha *sigh*

it was a good trip.. an experience, seeing as i've haven't been overseas in over 12 years.. and really the first time o/s without parentals.. haha.. it was good to just look after myself.. (and my niece :-P) and do things as they come.. we didn't really have a plan for each day.. so we just played it as it came...

i wish we could have done more touristy stuff.. like go to the islands and stuff.. but the weather in the 2nd week went a bit weird.. really cloudy and misty... oh well.. we managed to get to disneyland on literally the best day of the trip.. clear sky.. warm.. coudln't ask for more.. overall i'd have to say disneyland was the highlight of the trip for me... its a tad bit small.. compared to disneyland's in usa.. but it was a good size to cover all of it in a day...

didn't end up going to ocean park.. we decided not to go coz it prolly would have been better if more ppl came with us.. but everyone was busy or didn't wanna go on the days we could.. pity.. i'll go next time i'm in HK i reckon hehe

shopping there was awesome.. everything is so cheap.. especially clothes... i got like 4 pairs of jeans.. and a suit as well.. haha also got me my new mobile yay!! :-)

it was also good to catch up wif friends who were over there visiting relo's or working... even though i see them here in aus.. its different when in another country..

i'm seriously considering going overseas again at the end of this year.. in my few weeks of annual leave... dunno where yet.. but yeh.. i think i've got that travel bug.. i just wanna see more of this world... hehehe

i spent NYE up the coast with some friends, it was an awesome holiday, complete with bqq's, kookaburras, cranium, ninja chickens (turkey), emergency evacuations and beaching :-)

far out.. ok.. a bit long.. and started off slow.. but man did it pick up!!! the action scenes were awesome, and the amount of detail that went into bringing the world and the gorilla to life.. far out... so much detail went into facial expressions of the gorillas face as well.. lot of emotion there... and noami watts performance was awesome.. knowing that she's acting against nothing.. far out.. so good!!

and wots wif the aircon?? so cold in there..stupid aircon

and the story (WARNING: mebbe some spoilers ahead, scroll down till u see NOTE if u want to miss this)...

wow.. ok.. i didn't think i'd enjoy it that much coz all i knew was some gorilla climbs the empire state building and gets shot down... good story? i dont' think so.. BUT.. wow.. so much character development, and character interaction.. to really draw the audience in.. and the underlying meaning to the movie that 'man is the beast', the evils of mankind (thanks wongo for your lecture after the movie :-P)
the irony that in the end by our own evil nature and selfishness we kill what is beautiful in this world..

well.. haematologist called.. i'm all good.. said some stuff were lil low.. but its all good not to worry he said.. so it looks like it could have been a surgical problem?? no one knows then hahaah.. apparently i should go and get some test.. can't think of wot its called.. where they inject me wif something and then do a scan and it shows the route my blood takes and stuff.. see if there was a small artery or something close to the site where the wisdom teeth were taken out... *shrug*

oh well.. haha dun wanna get that done till i get back from HK... longs i heal *taps wood*

argh!! speaking of HK.. i really wanna be there now!!!!!.. but another 4 weeks left :-(

wisdom teeth - still going? what??!?!?

ok.. the recap...

well thought i was on the mend.. but that turn out to be untrue yesterday morning (sat) around 1am... i suddenly felt a little bit more liquid in my mouth that normal and it tasted like blood.. what a suprise it was blood.. and it kept gushing out of my mouth.. similar to the day of the surgery where i had to be rushed in.. i tried to stop the bleeding by putting gauze pads in and applying pressure.. even getting ice packs from the fringe..

nothing.. 30 mins went by and i was still gushing blood and it wasn't stopping... eventually my parents took me to bankstown hospital to emergency where we were told by the nurse they couldnt' do anything for me as it was dental related and would have to come back at 8am.. in the mean time about 1.5 hours had gone past and i was still gushing blood

after we went to my local GP who is a relative and she had a look and tried to stop the bleeding as well for another hour.. no luck.. she tried calling bankstown hosital and westmead to mebbe get me in to see a doctor but both couldn't do nething as it was dental related...

got home and called the dental surgeon aroudn 4am'ish, i was so fortunate that he picked up his mobile at that time of the morning.. he was able to get me into nepean private hospital at that time.. so after a 40 min drive there, got in a saw him (still gushing blood, going pale and what have u)... there he restitched where it was coming from and manage to stop the bleeding...

by this time i had been up for well over 24 hours and the previous night only had like 3 hours sleep.. was sooo tired... i was then put on a drip and in the morning given blood transfusions (4 bags) and all that good stuff to get my blood levels back up and to help with my blood clotting and that (10 bags of this stuff, 4 bags of antibiotics, etc)...

so stayed in the hospital all day sat and most of the day sun.. i was first informed that i'd prolly go home on mon.. but i was fortunate my situation had stablised and they released me this arvo, given that i rest tonight and rest a bit more tomoz... but i should be ok..

far out aye.... another 2 weeks of healing.. and mushy food.. i'm really craving that steak.. subway and nandos now...

thank you to all of you who were and are praying for me and keeping me in your thoughts, it means a lot to me..

now back to healing... :-|

wisdom teeth - post-op consultation (on the mend woo)

well had a post op consultation this morning.. it appears the doc is happy with the progress and that everything is healing fine..

i had a bit of a scare yest at 5am when i woke up and my mouth was filled with blood and when i looked in on my right side i could see a large cut.... mentioned that to the doc and he said the cut was where the tooth was (derr, i'm so stupid) and that the blood was prolly the excess caught in the gap but sealed up by the stitches.. so when they dissolved it all came out.. gross aye.. but makes sense..

sooooo yeh stitches will still be dissolving slowly over the next week or 2 as he said the ones he put in were ones that will take longer due to the excessive bleeding after the operation...

gimme a week or 2 and then i'm going for steak!!!

ok.. gradually healing...

swelling has gone down heaps, still a little in my mouth.. stitches are still there slowly dissolving and its still seeping blood.. far out... local GP said not to worry about the little bit of a blood, but its been seeping for over a week now :-(

we'll see wot the dentists says when i go for a post-op consultation next tues..

in other news.. finally got a digital camera, canon ixus 50.. really happy about it, good little camera..for pics (for those on my msn) check out my msn spaces...

wisdom teeth - post-post surgery sigh

*sigh*...

everything was going ok till this morning at 5am.. woke up and my mouth tasted like blood, and wot do u know.. there was blood.. a lot of it... went and saw my cousin who's a GP and she diagnosed that the blood was actually coming from the otherside now.. not the wound that had the initial problem....

managed to get in contact with the surgeon who was able to fit me into his schedule to an afternoon appointment, saw him and went wif local anaesthetic, and he re-stiched the other side up... both the surgeon and the nurse couldnt' work out why it would suddenly start bleeding 2 days after surgery.. and then continue without stopping... so they sent me to a pathology clinic down the road to get some blood tests.. after 6 viles of blood and a dead arm, i'm on my way home... right side of my mouth numb, left side of my mouth throbbing in pain.. my arm dead... and really weak...

also got some tablets to help clots and stop the bleeding.. took them.. hopefully they work....

i'm going to go sleep now.. so tired...

wisdom teeth - post surgery

just got home at like 8:30pm.. i was there from 10:30am till about 7:30pm.... such a long day.

i got the 4 wisdom teeth out.... after surgery it looked ok and i was set to go home at around 3:30-4pm... but then something happened....

(warning: slightly graphic)

i was talking to my mum, and she was like quick get some tissues, there was blood.. a lot of blood coming out of my mouth and pouring down onto my clothes, they quickly got one of the nurses who came to have a look and it appears that 1 or more of my wounds inside my mouth may be oozing blood (which is normal). they got me to bite down on these cloth things to hopefully clot the bleeding... 20 mins later she came back and had a look, and it was still gushing blood, following this she wheeled me back to the pre-op section so the surgeon could take a look.

1 of the wounds was continually gushing blood, it wasn't clotting properly so he sucked up a lot of the blood and got me to bite down on another piece of cloth to see if that would stop the bleeding, 30 mins went by and the doc and nurse came back to check... i overheard one nurse say that i had become really pale and was losing a lot of blood, so they quickly rushed me back into surgery to re-stitch the wound back up... apparently it wasn't the gum bleeding, but the bone.. i was bleeding from the bone (jaw) which apparently is not suppose to happen...

so after surgery (part 2) i was out and now back home.. and this time not bleeding...(i dont thnk).. my face is strapped up with an ice pack, and its still pretty numb as they had to sedate and numb me again for the 2nd surgery....

i was really quite scared when i was going in again for the 2nd surgery, i kept praying so that i would be kept safe... and i know some of you had me on your thoughts and in your prayers, which comforted me greatly....

one special thank you needs to go out to a certain someone.. thank you so much for constantly sms'ing me back when i had a chance after the surgeries to sms you... it meant a lot to me and a tremendous comfort that you were still there for me (even though not physically), and thank u again for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers.... thank u so much...

now its just a matter of healing, and having a post-op consultation half way through next week to check that everything is healing correctly....

time to sit in bed (where i am now) and watch dvd's, chat and blog :-)

ok.. took a day off work today to go see a specialist and get xrays done and stuff.. far out.. half a day gone travelling between clinics and stuff argh!!

looks like i gotto get 2 out at least.. from the bottom jaw.. top ones look fine.. so i'm booked in for fri the 4th of nov for the surgery.. *sigh*... scared.. going to be general anaesthetic... but will hurt after i reckon.. eek!

good thing though.. got most of the costs back through health funds and stuff for todays appointments.. woo!! BUT.. *sigh* $1250 cost for the procedure.. not including hospital fees.. argh!!!! man...... so expensive.. shoulda become a dentist or dental specialist or something lol

i was walking to the station.. I GOT ATTACKED BY A MAGPIE!!... who gets that happening to them.. far out.. was walking down the road then i here this massive click sound and a gush of wind past my right ear.. startled me.. and this magpie flies past my head about 10 cms away from my ear and lands on the branch just a head of me.. freaked me out.. so i thought ok.. freak incident.. its cool keep walking.. i'll still have my eyes, it wont' pick them out.. then not 1min later.. it does the same thing on the left side of my head..!!! at this point i was freaking out.. so i picked up the pace and kept looking back to see if the magpie would attack again.. luckily it i didn't *sigh of relief*

stupid birds.. lucky no one was walking on the street too.. coz they woulda seen a asian guy running down the street with a bird flying after him... :-|

MOTHS!!! out of all things.. for some reason there is like millions of them around the outside of the building where my office is... (litterally millions) just sitting on the walls and stuff.. and then when u walk outside.. they go psycho and start flying around...

i swear they must be blind.. actually are moths blind? i'm not sure.. neways.. they are blind.. u'd think they'd fly straight or avoid the huge (in comparion to their size) asian guy walking along the path way.. but nooooo they decide to swurve into me and ram me with their head (do moths have heads?).. *sigh*

animals and insects hate me.. :-(

ITS MAGPIES AGAIN!!.. ok they didnt' really attack me this time.. but seriously.. one got into the building where i work.. just outside my office.. how? i dont' know.. no windows were open.. only the door at the front.. which come on... wot kind of bird is going to walk in the front door.. its basically impossible to fly in coz its kinda surround by stuff... :-|

well the magpie got hurt coz it kept flying into windows and stuff.. MUAHAHAHAHAHA.. then managed to fly out a window my work colleague left open for it to get out.

grrrrrr.. really not liking the magpie species...

FF7 Advent Children

man.. i'm so out of the loop.. didn't even know this was out.. i LOVE the Final Fantasy game series.. just so awesome.. and one in particular was FF7... had no idea they made a sequel movie to it...

so just finished watching it.. i guess if u havent' played through FF7 its a bit hard to understand wots going on.. but far out.. if u have played it and u know the characters and storyline.. the movie is AWESOME!!@#(*@^&)&$ this has to be the best CGI movie i have ever seen.. in terms of the way it looks, the music, etc..

ok.. those that read my blog know that i'm getting glasses.. this has been a never ending saga for the last month or 2...

i placed the order over a month ago.. he said he'd have to order the frames in, then send them off to get the lens's fitted and made...for the last 3 weeks i been calling the shop finding out when my glasses will come in.. each time.. "yes there is been a delay.. sorry blah blah, it'll be in next".. my reply has always been "ok thats fine, i'll call you next week..." usually i'm really patient with this type of thing.. i understand there can be difficulties.. however today was the last straw.. far out.. i called em yesterday.. said they'd be in yesterday (from last weeks call) and they said it would be in today definitely.... and today TODAY!!! he says the 'courier' has lost the package... oh so its taken 2 weeks to realise a courier with all your glasses has lost the package?? 2 weeks!!! I DON'T THINK SO!! far out.. and on top of that.. asks me for the make of the glasses again so he can reorder.. YOU'D THINK HE'D HAVE THE OLD ORDER ON FILE YES?!?!?.. somebody isn't organised are they? nooooo.... *fuming* and speaking of things not on file.. i've given him my mobile number about 5 times now.. so he can 'contact me back' *cough cough splutter cough*

i am soooo tempted to just head down to opsm and pick out another pair and get em through them.. sure i'll be paying more.. but i'd glady pay the premium for service that is deserved.

this has been a very good lesson to me.. when buying glasses or optical wear, never buy from small relatively unknown named shops... i'll definitely always go for the bigger companies now when it comes to optics... now i'm not going to name the shop i'm having all these problems with, but if u wanna know so u can stay clear, ask me..... so opsm here i come!

Holes... Again.....

well.. I HAVE MORE!! ok.. i had like 1 or 2 small ones at the toes.. but i was walking up to the shops for lunch and realised i could feel a little bit more of the back of my shoe than normal.. curious, i took a squiz when i got a chance to sit down back at work.. there is a HUGEEEE hole where the heel of the sock is.. what the? wasn't there when i left the house this morning.. these holes are multiplying!!!

these are a good pair of socks too... they were with me on my run from central to broadway in under 10 mins to get my computer case.. and they are really comfy.. (i guess the run may have contributed to the holes) *sigh*

oh well.. gotto go buy some more black socks now.. coz i bet my dozen other pairs are prolly going to end up like these soon.. :-|
