Rainbows and Starwars (+Thoughts on)

there's a rainbow on the wall in my office....

its like light refracting from the glass from the sports centre, coming through one of the windows of my building..

hmm.. i was really not impressed.. ok there was a couple bits in it (starwars ep3, in case u havent' already caught onto what i was talking about) that i thought were ok.. but no WOW factor... the bits i am refering to are just points in the story which link up to the originals etc.. the stuff that connected it all together.. without these.. the movie would really be quite average... or even somewhat pathetic...

i found it better than ep2... which i really hated.. most ppl liked ep2 over ep1.. but yeh.. i kinda like ep1 over ep2...

see the way i watched starwars movies as a kid in primary school and stuff.. was WOW.. this is so cool.. i want a lightsaber, i want to use the force, etc.. WOW walking big robot things in snow.. WOW little cuddly teddy things with sticks.. thats what most ppl got out of starwars, a sense to immerse themselves in the mythology, the universe and to just escape a bit and want to be there... that is all lost now i feel.. or that we are all just so used to it.. and have grown up a bit...

i guess i'm looking for higher WOW factor.. a higher expectation to movies now.. which is why i liked ep1...for instance the bit at the end with the droid army epic battle scene.. and i guess before that scene at the end, the movie was pretty average.. there were some "jedi's are cool moments.." throught the first part of ep1 but not enough... and lets not forget the great saber battle with darth maul.. that was way cool.. dont' tell me u didn't go WOW!!! (or whoa? what ever ur style is..) when he pulled out his double sided lightsaber!

ep2.. i think wanted the WOW factor in yoda.. but all that did was make me laugh.. sure he was fast.. but everything up to that point wasn't enough to draw me in and make it believable.. like that same feeling i used to get when watching the originals..

so i guess.. all up ep3 for me ranks just below ep1.. it was an alright movie.. nice visuals and sounds, shoddy acting, and dialogue, action sequences a bit above average...

all up.. 5.5/10

Lonely Weekend... Or NOT??

parents are going away this weekend, leaving friday morning coming back sunday.. usually this is a good thing.. means ppl can come over and stuff like that... or i go out so not to be stuck at home.... sounds good???? of course it does,.... however.... slight pickle,... most of my friends are busy.. with parties, dinners, etc.. :-/

so what to do??... here's what to do!!!! if your looking for something to do on saturday day and/or night,... GIMME A CALL and lets organise and do something! :-)

Kaz's Farewell
