Spirited Away, Whats that?....

well.. as expected.. the Spirited Away plans fell short.. everyone bailed!!! LOL can ya believe it?? :-P

but last night wasn't a total loss, as Nat and i were the only ones left on the list who wanted to, or were able to do something last night. We decided to go and see Runaway Jury, which starred John Cusack, Dustin Hoffman and Gene Hackman for those who don't know the movie. I had no idea wot the movie was about so i had no expectations walking in.. i have to say, i haven't been satisfied by a hollywood movie in sometime.. This one was very good, prolly coz i had no idea walking in.. i wont' say too much about it for you ppl that haven't seen it.. trust me.. don't read up on it.. don't ask ppl wot its about.. just go see it.. u'll be very satisfied when u finish watching it :-D

Neways before the movie, i went to pick Nat up.. first time travelling to Maroubra.. I GOT LOST!!.. i ended up in botany coz i took the wrong exit from the m5.. (good one dan.. idiot *slaps head*).. neways not a total disaster.. i managed to pull myself from my predicament and back tracked all the way to the road i was suppose to turn off at.. meaning i was 15 mins late.. thus.. no time for dinner when we got into the city.. hahaha We ended up dinnering after the movie at superbowl restuarant off china towns main st.. can't remember the st.. but u ppl would know where it is neways.. i tell ya.. the food was nice.. but WAY too much.. value for money?? i think so... :-)

After din din, we liked walked all the way to the Quay, had some drinks.. (no i didn't drink, for those who know about my experience earlier this year.. he he he) and then walked all the way back.. by this time.. it was close to 3am.. and i didn't get home till 3:30-4am.. can't remember.. was really tired..

And so i am writing this blog entry as i have just woken up from a really enjoyable night out.. and to all those ppl who bailed and/or couldn't come.. u missed out guys!!!, maybe next time then :-D
Ciao!

Eeek :-/

hewwooo..

been a long time since i blogged.. partly coz nothing interesting has happened.. lol.. but yeh thought i might just make a small entry.. hehe

i think i'm losing the bloggin feel again.. *growls*..

last night was nearly a total disaster.. was trying to work things out.. on wot to do.. like everyone was either.. too tired, had work the next day, or was doing something wif their partners..!! argh!!!.. was thinking of venturing into the city with my niece for some clubbin, but that didn't work.. lol.. the question was whether i really wanted to drive all the way into the city, coz like clubbin u leave late and a car home would be nice, and i didn't know any of my nieces friends.. so yeh.. drive it is... but i didn't end up going.. then i called around some other friends.. and manage to score a coffee trip to gloria jeans.. :-D

that was fun.. then one of my friends bro was coming home from schoolies so we trekked all the way to the airport to pick him up at like 11:30pm hhaha.. that was kinda fun'ish.. :-P

hope something happens tonight though.. plans were in the works to go see Spirited Away at Dendy which should be quite fun,... hopefully they go through.. don't wanna spend friday night at home!!(#^@)# (if anyone who's reading this feels like going tonight, its at 9:30pm.. so for anyone that knows me, contact me about it :-P)

neways.. will blog again if i do end up going.. coz it should be a pretty fun night.. if not.. umm hopefully something else interesting pops up :-P

till then :-D

My Immortal

well.. i've been like listening to this song on repeat for the last 3 days now.. it is AWESOME!!#)^&@)# this song gives me shivers when i fully listen to it and take in the words and stuff.. Creed - Higher was the only other song to do that..
and i think finally.. Creed has been knocked off the mantle as my favorite band.. Evanescence is well.. awesome!.. Creed - Higher will still remain one of my fav songs of all time, but as a band, Evanescence shines through :-D

let me leave u with a few lines from the song :-D
-----------------
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have
All of me
-----------------
awesome song, awesome band

Picnic + Dendy + Pancakes = Awesome night :-D

Well tonight was a pretty awesome night :-D

Went out with some friends from church, started off with a picnic at the botanical gardens.. it was quite an amusing picnic to say the least.. we had this ibis stalking our food and Sally-ann, after Des started feeding it haha, then the constant cheers of the millions upon millions (*cough*) of australian idol fans congregating at the opera house getting a glimpse of todays australian talent (haha).

We then caught a movie at Dendy, called 'In This World' which was quite an experience. I had never been to Dendy before, or seen the types of movies that Dendy plays.. This movie was so different to conventional movies i'm used to.. but not in a bad way.. it was quite awesome, about how people send their kids to more developed countries for a 'better life', and the struggles of the refugees placing their lives in the hands of people smugglers to get to this 'better life'. The film was fictional but the way it was shot and stuff, made it like a documentary, which was kinda strange.. coz all through the movie.. i was like.. wha.. huh?? is this real or wot?? haha i had to make sure after the movie that it was all fictional :-P But yeh, most of the time we see refugees as people we dont' want in our country, but we never actually take the time to think about what these people go through to get here, the majority of them don't even make it alive to their new life...

next, we went to the rocks for pancakes, stopping of at Weilin's 'favorite' book store.. strangest thing i've ever seen.. a book store opening to midnight.. and this isn't ur conventional book store either with all these books i had never seen.. although i'm not one for books neways so even if it had conventional stuff it would be unconventional to me.. but i was told there was some quality stuff in there :-P neways stopped by there before heading onto pancakes on the rocks cafe place, where we had wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli and this banana pancakes thing which was so nice.. this place is definitely going on the 'things to do when in the city list'... hmmm... wait a tic.. i dont' have a 'things to do when in the city list'... !!! eeek!! i'll put that on my 'things to make into a list, so that i have a things to do in the city list'... bah!... grrr.. don't have that list either.. oh well :-//

neways at pancakes 2 questions arose... 1) how is buttermilk made/what is it? and 2) how do those mist maker things work.. 2 seems a bit hard, i'll let the more techie people work that one out.. so i'll go for 1 :-D

so.. how is buttermilk made.. here's the answer.. "Churn buttermilk is the fluid remaining when the fat is removed by churning cream into butter." "Most modern buttermilk is cultured buttermilk, made from low-fat or skim milk and has less than 2 percent fat and sometimes none. It is prepared from skim or low-fat milk by fermentation with bacteria that produces lactic acid. The resulting product is thicker than traditional butter milk but is similar to it in other respects. Its correct name in many jurisdictions is 'cultured low-fat milk' or 'cultured nonfat milk.'" taken from http://webexhibits.org/butter/buttermilk.html

so thats how buttermilk is made and what it is..

a 3rd question however popped out while standing at the train station with Mel and Joyce.. Why is yawning contagious? the question which has eluded many scientists and the Einstein's of this world for as long as time could tell! i will now answer this age-long question!

The answer is fairly simple yet there are so many theories going around and nothing set in stone.... you see, when the moon and the earth come into direct view of people on earth, ie. night time, it creates a type of atmosphere which disperses various 'yawn organisms' which attach themselves to yawns and any surrounding 'human' within the vicinity of the primary yawn maker or 'Initiator of the Yawn'. Once these yawn organisms attach themselves to the people near by, they create a chemical imbalance which therefore forces these people to yawn, creating 'Distributed Yawnee's'. This process carries onto anyone standing near by, thus creating a contagious yawn..

i hope this answer fills the gap on this subject :-P

neways!!.. that was my night.. it was cool.. i had fun.. till next time.. ciao!

Boring Day ---> Great Day

well.. today was a kind of spontaneous day.. i woke up after a brilliant night sleep however i was expecting a boring day as i had nothing planned.. that changed.. visited a mate from usyd, then saw a friend working at carlingford court, then had coffee with an old school friend at night.. during all this working out plans for tomoz night and the rest of the week!!! YAY!!

hahaha.. also came up with a new greeting for msn and icq.. instead of the usual 'hey', 'heya', 'yo', *poke*, etc.. i got this new one.. wait for it.. wait.... its *pock pock*.. HAHAHAHAHA.. think of like when chickens are using their beak to peck at stuff and they say peck at a wooden surface.. and it goes 'pock pock'.. HAHAHA.. now visualise someone doing it.. close friend or something.. urself even.. visualise with all actions and pocking like crazy!!.. HAHAHAHAHA.. i find it quite amusing.. :-P

so yeh.. pretty cool day overall... i look forward to tomoz and the rest of the week now :-D

Ideas?

Ya know, writing entries in blogs is rather quite difficult, to say something semi-interesting and to express ur thoughts is kinda hard when thoughts are usually kept within our heads..

and to top that off, making a blog site to look nice and stuff, really is hard.. when creativity is lacking somewhat.. i tried.. and then got lazy and chose a template hoho, and a recent quote from Mel states "besides it's all about content not ... presentation?" this is so true, kudos to her for reminding me :-D

hey wot do u know.. this is a pretty decent size entry.. i might be onto something here.. lets hope :-D
